A Classic Thriller... Wait Until Dark
By Frederick Knott
October 14-16, 2011 at Tulsa Performing Arts Center
This masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward an electrifying, breath-stopping final scene. A sinister con man, Roat, and two ex-convicts, Mike and Carlino, are about to meet their match. They have traced the location of a mysterious doll to the apartment of Sam and his blind wife, Susy. Sam had been persuaded by a woman to transport the doll across the Canadian border, not knowing its valuable contents. The con man and his ex-convicts, through a cleverly constructed deception, convince Susy that the police have implicated Sam in criminal activity, and the doll is evidence. She figures out she is the victim of a bizarre charade, and knows the only way to play fair is by her rules, so when darkness falls she turns off all the lights, leaving them to maneuver in the dark until the game of cat and mouse ends.
A Literary Classic... The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
By C.S. Lewis
November 11-13, 2011 at Tulsa Little Theatre
This dramatization of C.S. Lewis' classic faithfully recreates the adventures of the four Pevensie children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the land of Narnia. The intense action features chases, duels and escapes as the White Witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan, the great lion. This story of love, faith, courage and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebration of life.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is an annual tradition with Encore! directors, Joshua and Mindy Barker.

By Jean Shepherd, Adapted by Philip Grecian
December 8-11, 2011 at Tulsa Little Theatre
Humorist Jean Shepherd's memoir of growing up in the mid-west of the 1940's follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas.
